I’m really exicted to share this lovely company with you.

Funky Elephant is an Australian based company that specialises in trunks {boxes} full of fun craft and activity ideas to do with your kiddo aged 3-7 years old.

Based on the subscription you choose {they offer 2, 6 and 12 month} you will get a trunk full of all the necessary supplies and instructions to complete the craft activities for every month of your subscription, delivered to your door!

We had the great pleasure of trying out a trunk, and you know what? It couldn’t have come at a better time. I have been so so busy these past few weeks and the fact that I could sit down with my kids, open up the trunk and pull out a cute little instruction pamphlet and ALL the supplies needed to complete a craft was just – awesome!

Typically a Funky Elephant trunk consists of 3-4 activities / projects for your kiddos to complete. This Circus themed trunk came with 4 different activities/projects to do, some stickers and a dot to dot plus all the materials needed and the instructions. The instructions even have a little guide as to how messy the activity is so you know before you start.

And the instructions are clear and easy to follow and include a list of the items included in the trunk that you will need for each activity.

The first one we did was decorate a tie and make a clown hat.

 Everything was included in the trunk. The trunks are really designed for one child (though you can purchase an add on for extra children or buy each child their own trunk!) but we just split it up, so Chloe decorated the tie and Noah made up the clown hat.
Chloe continued to decorate even after it was dry and we tried it on her. Haha.

They loved it, and were very proud of their finished products!
{apparently these are father’s day gifts for hubby – tee hee! can’t wait til he has to wear these around all day!}

The next day while Noah was at school Chloe completed another of the craft activities in the trunk – painting this very neat paddle + ball toy which she thought was pretty awesome before she painted it herself. Now she has a big smile on her face when she picks it up and says “I paint it!”

And then a couple of days later, we pulled out another craft activity to do. It was so nice to answer Noah’s “Mummy can we do a craft please?” with a “actually yes buddy we can!” because all I needed to do was open the trunk and pull out the remaining craft items and the instruction pamphlet and get going.

Like I said, everything is included – I didn’t even need to search for a glue stick or a pencil, it was all in the box.

These lion masks were fun. A little harder for Chloe as she can’t roll the strips of paper around the pencil to create the curls for the mane (but she is only 2) so I did that for her and did quite a few for Noah too. But they enjoyed using the glue stick to stick the curls on.

We did one with paint {Noah helped Chloe, and she added a whole heap of water with the paint brush after, it is her favourite thing to do with water colour haha!} and Noah decided to draw his face on.

My kiddos ran around the backyard “Raaa-ing” at each other when their masks were all ready to play with. Love it.

You know that I have a cupboard full of craft stuff, but sometimes life gets so busy that I haven’t had time to find or come up with a craft, find all the bits and pieces in the cupboard or go and buy a particular item and set it up / prep anything needing cutting out before hand etc and this is why I LOVED our Funky Elephant trunk. No need to run around to 3 different shops just trying to find all the materials for a craft or find a way to store a ton of craft stuff if you don’t have the space – all the hard work is done for you and all you need to do is sit down, open the box and start having fun with your kiddos!
