Well how did that happen? All of a sudden it’s May!
I know I haven’t been posting on the blog very much at all these past few months. I have also been questioning whether to continue with a little delightful, or if it’s time to say good-bye. As the bills rolled in for web hosting and re-regestering my domain name,  I felt that might be a good time to call it quits, but as their deadlines loomed closer I didn’t quite feel ready to let it all go as I really have been missing this space, […]

{giveaway} :: Amazing toys from Tiger Tribe

December 10th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , , |70 Comments

It is very nearly time for school holidays and I tell you what, I’m excited! I love having a break from the lunch boxes and laundry and school drop off and pick up everyday and most of all just love having the kids home for some much needed down time.
Christmas holidays for us almost always involves travel of some sort to see family and so I like to make sure that the kids have plenty of non-screen toys to play with both on our journey and while we’re away from home. That is where Tiger […]

It’s no secret that I LOVE Christmas, and for us, it’s a whole month of Christmas fun. Many of you have been asking me about what we’ve been up to, so I thought I’d share a weekly recap!
What a week! I can’t believe the first week of December has been and gone already! It was a super crazy busy one for us, with Nativity plays and Christmas parties, a couple of appointments, assemblies at school, birthday parties and a fun morning at the movies.
Our cute little elf Peppermint was pretty easy going for his […]

Oh hi there!
It is SO SO nice to be back here on my little blog, it’s been very quiet here for quite a while but I’ve enjoyed the much needed break and time to re-coup with my family and I’ve been itching to get back here for a little while now.

While I’ve been gone, the blog has moved on over to a new home! Welcome!
We haven’t gone through a big make over or a re-branding or anything like that, I hope you’re feeling familiar here and that things look and feel the same as […]

Lately we have been trying to teach our kids about little acts of kindness. I will explain what we’ve been doing more specifically very soon, but for now I thought I’d share these cute little tags that you can add to some home baked cookies for a delightful little act of {cookie} kindness :o}

We love to bake and I saw this Norwegian Proverb sometime ago and loved the simplicity and truth of it – Cookies are made of butter & love.

So we baked some lovely heart shaped cookies together and packaged them up in […]

:: well hello there ::

February 25th, 2014|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: , , , , |13 Comments

Well hello there!! – it’s been a while since I’ve posted here.I lost my mojo for blogging somewhere. I’m not sure exactly where, or why, or how. But I guess it happens sometimes! Especially when life is busy.And especially when you have a baby that doesn’t sleep. Really doesn’t sleep. Currently we are lucky to get a 2 hour stretch overnight.During the day? If not in a pram being pushed around – 30 minutes is about our maximum. BUT I know it’s just a phase. (please let it be just a phase) And that it will get better.Meanwhile […]

hello 2014!

January 9th, 2014|Categories: Uncategorized|Tags: , |6 Comments

Anyone else feel like last year just disappeared?I’ve been enjoying some time out while on holiday and have spent some time thinking about last year and about this brand new shiny year ahead. My 2013 flew by in a kind of blur. I spent so much of it utterly exhausted and I was only just surviving and trying to get through to the end of the day. I didn’t drive further than 15 minutes from my house as I was terrified I would fall asleep at the wheel – I was so tired. Yet I couldn’t […]

how we elf on the shelf

December 2nd, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |4 Comments

Hi everyone! I hope you had a great weekend and that your home is looking thoroughly Christmassy!!I get lots of questions about how we ‘elf on the shelf’ so I thought I’d share how we do it at our house. I actually can’t believe how controversial the elf seems to have gotten! People downright hate it but you know what? I think it’s just a bit of magic and fun for the kids, and if you’re keen on ‘elfing’, you can use it any way you like, to fit your family, there is no […]
