{review} Dyson V6 Absolute

September 22nd, 2015|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |5 Comments

My house gets messy! Our floor gets covered on a daily basis with sand, crumbs, dust and a mountain of dog hair. A few times a week you can also add to that some rainbow rice or teeny bits of dried beans or lentils from our sensory tubs, and in the afternoon and on weekends, there is also a hefty amount of glitter and teeny bits of cut up paper thanks to some crafty creative kids!
There are 5 main culprits of mess at my house. The first three are my kids. They are MESSY! No […]

sweet dreams are made of this :: diy doily dream catcher

July 2nd, 2015|Categories: A Little Delightful, diy|Tags: , , |1 Comment

Chloe hasn’t been sleeping very well lately, and hasn’t felt like herself, so I thought making a dream catcher together would be a lovely way to do something for just her, with the hope too that a it would help her feel more settled and calm for bedtime. We’ve also been popping the vaporiser on in her room with some calming essential oils to see if that helps her unwind and have a peaceful sleep.
My mother in law gave me this doily about 9 years ago, and I just knew it would look beautiful as a dream catcher […]

hello.

May 5th, 2015|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , |37 Comments

Well how did that happen? All of a sudden it’s May!
I know I haven’t been posting on the blog very much at all these past few months. I have also been questioning whether to continue with a little delightful, or if it’s time to say good-bye. As the bills rolled in for web hosting and re-regestering my domain name,  I felt that might be a good time to call it quits, but as their deadlines loomed closer I didn’t quite feel ready to let it all go as I really have been missing this space, […]

Well hello!
I can’t believe we are a week away from Easter. Where has the time gone?? This year is flying by way too fast, and I know I have been neglecting my little blog BIG TIME.
I made these up the other day to tie on to the mason jar gifts we made for teachers and friends and I thought I’d share them with you too, as they’re really useful for anything you can think of this Easter!
These are Typo mason jars, a little bit of shredded tissue paper, some cute little speckled chocolate eggs […]

Hand and Footprint Reindeers

December 20th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful, crafts|Tags: , , , , |2 Comments

I am not sure how or why this isn’t already on my blog – because ever since Noah was two we have been making these hand and footprint reindeer and they are one of my all time favourite Christmas activities!
They’re also super easy, you just need some brown paper (I use two shades) and some googly eyes (you can also just draw the eyes on!). Some red marker or glitter glue for the red Rudolph nose and some glue or tape.
Trace your kiddos foot on a piece of paper and cut out. If using […]

Hello!! Thank you to all of you that have been asking about these. I almost almost didn’t put them up! It has been so wonderful to hear that some of you do these religiously every year with your children and that you look forward to them!

My kiddos and I do these every year and it has been such a joy to be able to go through past years pages and see how they’ve grown and changed. Of course this year Owen is a little young but we still completed a handprint page for him […]

{giveaway} :: Amazing toys from Tiger Tribe

December 10th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , , |70 Comments

It is very nearly time for school holidays and I tell you what, I’m excited! I love having a break from the lunch boxes and laundry and school drop off and pick up everyday and most of all just love having the kids home for some much needed down time.
Christmas holidays for us almost always involves travel of some sort to see family and so I like to make sure that the kids have plenty of non-screen toys to play with both on our journey and while we’re away from home. That is where Tiger […]

{giveaway} :: dear little mailbox

December 9th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |59 Comments

Holly, a mum of 2 beautiful girls, wanted to inspire children to imagine, create, learn and love and that is exactly what she does through her absolutely gorgeous goodies from Dear Little Designs. Her gorgeous little mailboxes and letter boxes inspire children to write to friends, family, Santa or little fairy friends. And the new Dear Little Diary and Treasure Box sets give children a little safe place of their own for keeping special trinkets and memories.
There is nothing better than encouraging imagination, and I think these cute little Mailboxes could help us create a little bit of […]

December 8th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |7 Comments

It’s no secret that I LOVE Christmas, and for us, it’s a whole month of Christmas fun. Many of you have been asking me about what we’ve been up to, so I thought I’d share a weekly recap!
What a week! I can’t believe the first week of December has been and gone already! It was a super crazy busy one for us, with Nativity plays and Christmas parties, a couple of appointments, assemblies at school, birthday parties and a fun morning at the movies.
Our cute little elf Peppermint was pretty easy going for his […]
