I hope you have a lovely Valentine’s Day, no matter what your plans are :o} We have been having fun with food around here in the lead up to Valentine’s Day!This is why I love Valentine’s! Not for the gifts or flowers or chocolates, but for the fun we get to have with pink and hearts and love notes. Sure we can do these anytime, and we do even when it’s not Valentine’s Day. But I love an excuse even when I don’t need one. :o}Heart shaped pancakes! We have a cute little heart shaped […]

{valentine’s day} 14 days of valentines countdown

February 1st, 2013|Categories: printables|Tags: , , |4 Comments

I had meant to print these and share them on the blog yesterday but totally forgot, and woke up this morning and realised it was already the first of February! How did that happen? So this morning I printed out the 14 Days of Valentine’s cards you can find here, and decided on an activity per day as an advent style countdown to Valentine’s day. In years past I have written something I loved about each kiddo and hubby but I thought it would be nice to do the activities this year, plus some days […]

father’s day

September 3rd, 2012|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , |3 Comments

Father’s day prep started on Saturday, when I started making hubby’s cake – a pecan dacquoise with chocolate cream. Sounds so fancy. The recipe is from Tenina and is a thermomix recipe! I found it pretty easy to do. But it was a little time consuming, so I’m glad I did it the day before. The recipe also states it’s better done 24 hours ahead of time if you can manage anyway! I left out the orange as hubby isn’t a fan of orange and chocolate and it still came out absolutely delicious. It is a […]

chloe’s 2nd birthday :: tea party for two

May 18th, 2012|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |30 Comments

A couple of weeks ago, my sweet little girl turned T-W-O. I can’t quite believe how fast we’ve arrived at this age. It really doesn’t seem that long ago that she was this dark haired teeny baby. And now her hair has gone so light and she’s walking around and talking, hiding, making mess, being cranky, laughing hysterically, helping me bake, helping me ‘clean’, having tea parties, giving the best hugs, playing with puzzles and torturing her big brother. We decided to just go with a small family birthday for Chloe. And since we only have […]

{printable} rainbow treasure hunt for st. patrick’s day

March 15th, 2012|Categories: printables|Tags: , , |4 Comments

We normally don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but this year I thought we’d have a bit of fun with it.
We are keeping it simple and not doing much – but I thought it would be fun to do a rainbow treasure hunt around the house. I just made this up for us to use, but in the end I thought I’d share it with you all as well – in case you find you’re after something easy to do on Saturday. It does have a clover on it, but really you could use this […]

Noah’s Space Party

February 20th, 2012|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |12 Comments

Recently my sweet boy turned the big F.I.V.E. I can honestly say I don’t know how we got here so quickly. And he must be so used to me saying that it has flown by, because on the morning of his birthday he said to me “It was like I was just born yesterday Mummy and now I am five!” Haha.Happy Birthday Noah! You are such a gorgeous boy, inside and out. I am proud of you and proud to be your Mama. You have taught me so much, and I love you to […]

our nice and easy father’s day

September 4th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |5 Comments

This year we had a  nice and easy Father’s day.My darling husband had his Mum visit for Father’s day which was a lovely treat for all of us. We don’t have any family close by and so it is always lovely to have some visit :o}We started the day with the obligatory jump on Daddy to wake him up and shower him with love and hugs and kisses and gifts. Chloe took great delight in handing Daddy his card. We call her ‘mop’ as you can see her hair is pretty much a mop!Noah made […]
