{printable} Reindeer Food Station

December 19th, 2016|Categories: printables|Tags: , , |0 Comments

My kids absolutely love making Reindeer Food and it’s become a tradition in our home since Noah was three or four. It’s just a little something easy and fun that helps to bring a little magic to this special time of year. We leave a carrot out on Christmas Eve too, those reindeer need all the fuel they can get!!

I made these printables for Chloe’s kindy class a few years ago and it was so fun for the kids and their parents to come and make some reindeer food during our class party to take […]

{review} Dyson V6 Absolute

September 22nd, 2015|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |5 Comments

My house gets messy! Our floor gets covered on a daily basis with sand, crumbs, dust and a mountain of dog hair. A few times a week you can also add to that some rainbow rice or teeny bits of dried beans or lentils from our sensory tubs, and in the afternoon and on weekends, there is also a hefty amount of glitter and teeny bits of cut up paper thanks to some crafty creative kids!
There are 5 main culprits of mess at my house. The first three are my kids. They are MESSY! No […]

sweet dreams are made of this :: diy doily dream catcher

July 2nd, 2015|Categories: A Little Delightful, diy|Tags: , , |1 Comment

Chloe hasn’t been sleeping very well lately, and hasn’t felt like herself, so I thought making a dream catcher together would be a lovely way to do something for just her, with the hope too that a it would help her feel more settled and calm for bedtime. We’ve also been popping the vaporiser on in her room with some calming essential oils to see if that helps her unwind and have a peaceful sleep.
My mother in law gave me this doily about 9 years ago, and I just knew it would look beautiful as a dream catcher […]

hello.

Well how did that happen? All of a sudden it’s May!
I know I haven’t been posting on the blog very much at all these past few months. I have also been questioning whether to continue with a little delightful, or if it’s time to say good-bye. As the bills rolled in for web hosting and re-regestering my domain name,  I felt that might be a good time to call it quits, but as their deadlines loomed closer I didn’t quite feel ready to let it all go as I really have been missing this space, […]

Well hello!
I can’t believe we are a week away from Easter. Where has the time gone?? This year is flying by way too fast, and I know I have been neglecting my little blog BIG TIME.
I made these up the other day to tie on to the mason jar gifts we made for teachers and friends and I thought I’d share them with you too, as they’re really useful for anything you can think of this Easter!
These are Typo mason jars, a little bit of shredded tissue paper, some cute little speckled chocolate eggs […]

Hand and Footprint Reindeers

December 20th, 2014|Categories: A Little Delightful, crafts|Tags: , , , , |2 Comments

I am not sure how or why this isn’t already on my blog – because ever since Noah was two we have been making these hand and footprint reindeer and they are one of my all time favourite Christmas activities!
They’re also super easy, you just need some brown paper (I use two shades) and some googly eyes (you can also just draw the eyes on!). Some red marker or glitter glue for the red Rudolph nose and some glue or tape.
Trace your kiddos foot on a piece of paper and cut out. If using […]
