Hi everyone!

Hope you had a great start to the week! There’s still plenty of time to find a few crafts or activities to do in the lead up to Australia Day and here I’ve put together 10 awesome ideas!

Some of these we have done before and some from around the net that we’re hoping to do.

I hope you find something that you’d love to do with your kids this week!
:o}

1. Make paper plate Koalas and Wombats

2. Colour in an Aussie flag – thanks so much to Kerina at Living on a Latte and her post on Australia Day inspiration for the link to this site!

3. Boomerang Dot paintings ala Liz from Bizzy Dayz – my kids absolutely love to paint with cotton buds so this is going to be a winner at our house!

4. Some fun and easy sponge bombs would be an awesome addition to any outdoor Australia Day BBQ.

5. Australia is known for it’s awesome beaches and my kids love the beach so we made a beach in a bottle a couple of years ago and the kids have asked we do it again this year. Super easy, see how here

6. This paper plate opera house is just awesome, such a fun idea!
See the instructions here.

7. Go out for a walk and collect bits and pieces to make an aussie bush garland!

8. Pavlova tend to be a bit of a tradition in Australia – make some cute mini ones and decorate with Australia Day flags and toppers. The strawberry opera house was surprisingly easy! Try it out :o}

9. Our World Wide Classroom has some awesome educational printables including the lyrics to the National Anthem and Waltzing Matilda and more!

10. This is a totally cute jumping kangaroo craft from Lotta Magazine. Click the link for a cute Koala idea, too!

And of course, slip slop slap and head out for some fun in the sun! Enjoy this very lucky country we live in.

What are your Australia Day plans?
