{review + giveaway} : chemical free cleaning with enjo {now closed}
My least favourite job in the kitchen is cleaning the oven. I really don’t like it but I vowed that when we moved into this house 3 years ago I would keep on top of the oven as it was brand new and it would never become a chore. Truth is, that even though I did clean it after every use, it was certainly a chore! My sponge just wouldn’t cut it, all those splatter and grease marks, and baked on bits! But I refused to use those chemicals that tell you to wear a mask and gloves when you clean with them.
And so slowly but surely, my oven got to the point of being ‘too hard’ to clean until sparkling brand new. I’d leave it much longer in between proper full cleans and then find my job even harder. Please tell me I’m not the only one? Don’t get me wrong – it was never gross or super dirty – but it certainly wasn’t the kind of ‘clean’ I like, or had hoped to keep up with my oven!
This is where ENJO came in. I was sent pack of ENJO goodies to try out on my oven to get it back to sparkling. I couldn’t believe I was actually excited to give them a go after watching the video tutorial – could it really be that easy?
I followed the instructions, which was to leave a pan of boiled water in the oven for half an hour, then leaving the oven to cool before cleaning with the ENJO kitchen glove. They do remind you that if the grime has been baked on in layers, it will need to come off in layers and so to repeat this step another time or so. I did have to do this, but I was surprised that I hardly felt like I was ‘cleaning’ – no hard scrubbing as you only need to use light pressure with your ENJO glove. And no having to send everyone outside because of awful chemical fumes. No need for masks or rubber gloves to protect me! Win!
For stubborn spots on the bottom of the oven and sides, I couldn’t believe how awesome the kitchen mini plus with its awesome bristles and marble paste were at getting them off. There were seriously a lot of those splatter grease marks from baking fish, cooking roasts, making grilled cheese, and I was so impressed after my first go with ENJO at how much it had gotten off.
My oven racks were also not looking great. At all. I followed the tutorial video which showed me how to soak the oven racks overnight. Then after all that icky grime had softened, I used the kitchen mini plus and some marble paste and they are like brand new. Seriously happy.
I did feel the oven needed another good go. As I had said, I left it pretty long in between cleans because it was just such an annoying and tedious job that involved a lot of elbow grease. A couple of weeks later I again popped a pan of boiling water in the oven to steam it all and used my kitchen glove, kitchen mini and marble paste and that is just what my oven needed – the second clean has got it sparkling like new again inside and I am so so pleased!
And seriously, maintaining this level of clean has been super easy with the kitchen glove and just water and the absolutely awesome kitchen miracle since that second clean. But at least I know that if it’s gets a bit gross in there again that I have the tools to blast through it easily and chemical free!
And whats more is that the ENJO kitchen glove and miracle are fantastic for keeping the kitchen bench and stove top sparkling too. This I love, but honestly the biggest seller for me is being able to clean that oven without harmful chemicals.
The wonderful people at ENJO have also offered a fantastic Kitchen Care package for me to giveaway
to one of my beautiful readers! It includes
1x kitchen glove
1x kitchen mini plus
1x kitchen miracle
1x marble paste
and is valued at $177. All for one of you. Yay!

My oven is quite large and inside is not too bad but the door is filthy and the grills could do with a deep cleanse. I actually recently went to an Enjo party and this was one of the products that impressed me the most so i would be most excited to win!
Hi, I have uploaded a photo of my oven to your Facebook page. It’s 6 months old and, ummm, hasn’t yet been cleaned. I hate cleaning but I particularly hate cleaning the oven. It’s awkward and smelly. I’d love to try the Enjo cleaning system. Thanks
Hi Bianca, no FB for me so I emailed you a pic of my fairly untidy looking oven. To be truthful I think it has been cleaned about three times in 5 years. The last time it was cleaned was when my husband volunteered to clean it with chemicals whilst I took our daughter down the park. I do not use chemicals and found that baking soda and vinegar was ineffective at cutting through those layers. Sad that I relented and allowed him to expose himself. I would dearly like to try Enjo and see for myself if it will make my oven brand new again without too much effort. Thanks for the opportunity to win.
What a fabulous prize. My Oven really needs a good detailed clean I hate cleaning it with nasty chemicals that burn my nostrils!!! This Enjo pack looks really good. Have left a photo on your FB page.
Oh wow I would love to try this product…I hate cleaning my oven! Christine Gleeson.

I definitely need to clean my oven and this product would be perfect! I have a 4 year old and newborn and would really like to move away from chemical cleaning products for a safer home, great clean and better for the environment. Thanks Melanie Mackie

I definitely need enjo… I am allergic to most chemical cleaners and react to them… and so have put off cleaning my oven…. but I also am highly suseptible to bacterial infections as I have a condition called neutropenia…. which means low white blood cells (the ones that fight infections). So with that and young kids I am keen to try something which will be safe for me, for the environment and for my budget! Thanks Rebecca Murphy
Forgot to let you know why I’d love to win the ENJO kitchen pack. Well, where do I start?…I’m renting in public housing and I think I have the original oven from when the property was built! It’s old and there’s not much I can do to make it look attractive, but I have a feeling I could work some ENJO magic on it with the fabulous kitchen pack. I’ve only ever owned one ENJO product (a body glove) so I’d love to have some more and make my kitchen look great:) Thanks, Rosemary.
I have placed a photo of my grill on your FB page, which is in need of a deep cleanse! I refuse to use those caustic aerosol cans that make the air hard to breathe, would love to try Enjo and see if it’s as good as everyone says! I’m already a fan of the ENJO FB page Angie Boylan angieboylan12@gmail.com
I have posted a photo of part of my oven door…I wasn’t brave enough to do the whole oven because after taking a photo of it I was soooo embarrassed that I let it get that bad lol!
I would love to win the Enjo Kitchen Care Giveaway because I HATE using all those chemicals you buy at the shops(which is part of the reason my oven is like it is).
I haven’t bought Enjo in years because we just haven’t been able to afford it and the kitchen cleaning pack was always one of the things I would of chosen because I remember being at my very first party at a friends house and just being Amazed by the kitchen glove and how it wiped up butter from the bench and then continued to clean without getting the butter everywhere
My oven is so dirty its getting out of control. I keep meaning to get to it but the time it takes to do such a job puts me off. I would love a new approach and product to cleaning it rather than the toxic sprays i have used in the past.
My oven needs some lovin’! Seriously my most hated house job to do and i cringe to think that it has probably been a good 8 months or so since it was last done… Holly Geiger
Oh my goodness – my oven for sure! I have never been able to keep the horrible thing clean!! Would love to try out Enjo!

Hate cleaning my oven! I run a cake decorating business from home and so my oven gets a workout! Would love to try enjo on it! laurabani@hotmail.com Thanks for the opportunity to enter!
I clean my oven each time my mother in law comes to stay. I’m not going to tell you how often that is… But I will say she lives overseas. I think that says it all!
Like a lot of people have said, my oven!! We tore out quite a few cupboards a couple months ago and they were ones that sat along side our oven, the part that I’d never had to clean before. It is one heck of a job and to be quite honest I’m scared!
PHEW! I’m so glad I don’t need to show my embarrassing photo! My oven was also new when I moved in 5 years ago and I may have cleaned it before the birth of each baby… I have 2 kids;) I’ve been looking at a professional clean, but for the same price I can have a lot of enjo cleans!!
Would love to win some Enjo to help me clean my oven. The chemicals that I have used before make the food taste disgusting and that can’t be healthy for anyone
This product has really taken my eye. $170 is a lot of money to pay for an oven cleaner, but I will be getting this product Dawn Taylor claudine55@internode.on..net
My oven! We’ve only been in our house 2 years and promised to keep the oven spotless – new baby and that all turned to dust. Really need to do it, but the thought of stinky chemicals has put me off.
Definitely the oven, I refuse to use chemicals and therefore, after 4 years living in our house and me only once attempting to clean our oven with bicarb (what a mess, and still the evidence exists as it leaked somehow between the glass panels on the door!) it is in a state that I think only enjo could clean!!
My oven needs all the loving Enjo can give- being pregnant it’s been quite a while since it has been cleaned as I don’t want to use all those chemicals right now!
What a great giveaway! When I bought our first home 4 years ago the oven was a disgrace. The trays gross and the bottom of the oven was just black and burnt food – I think the previous owners had thrown their cooking directly on the trays and never cleaned it My mother-in-law and I spent hours cleaning it and got most of it off but some still remains. I’d love to try the Enjo kitchen care package to see if that removes it. – Renae Elsie Georg – rgeorg@facebook.com

All the hidden bits that I dont see on a daily basis would just adore some enjo love! And who wouldnt be inspired to scrub with delicious new kitchen scrubs! Thanks for the awesome competition.
Hi Bianca – phew, just entered in the nick of time! My oven is a disaster zone and I actually did buy one of those nasty box of chemicals, because my oven is super bad, but I can’t bear to use it! Fingers crossed for ENJO products! x
My oven definitely needs a little Enjo lovin’! And, well, just about everything else too! I have a 2 year old, so there’s lots of little fingerprints and smears of who knows what in all kinds of places!! {Melanie Gardner}
I would love to try ENJO on my fridge. Scrub the outside, the sides and the bottoms of the doors. I learnt a lesson recently the hard way, dont half clean your fridge or find a product that will do a better job. My poor girl sustained a large skin tear on the back of her ankle from the fridge door and it became infected. I always thought to clean my fridge doors down the sides and outside but never the bottom of the doors.
Hi Bianca, I have been contemplating trying Enjo for a while now so thank you for your review. I am now keen to either have a party or go to a party to see all of the products. I would love to clean my oven without harmful chemicals.

Hi again, said a hello on the ENJO Australia page and told them you sent me:)
My photo is of a “small” mishap with my new silicone bakeware.
Most of the cake baked on the bottom of my oven. A nightmare to clean!
I’m interested in cleaning chemical free in the hope of reducing or curing skin rashes I’ve been suffering with on my arms and hands.

My oven needs help, some ENJO help
Oh I would love this! We’ve been here 2 years and I have never given my oven anything more than a wipe over. It is in desperate need of this prize!!
