I have been slowly trying to move away from non-stick cookware in our home and I had this Scanpan Impact Chef’s Pan on my wishlist. I received it a little while ago and I have been loving it!
I love the size of the pan, and the fact that it has got handles on each side instead of one long handle that just gets in the way on my not so big stove.
Because it is stainless steel, you can pop it in the oven to finish cooking or to keep warm.
It has a glass lid so you can see how your dish is going while cooking. It has a heavy base for even heat distribution and although a little harder to clean than a non-stick pan, it is still pretty easy to clean.
We have cooked everything in it from pasta sauces to marinated chicken breasts, chicken schnitzels, steaks and stews. It’s already my ‘go to’ pan as it is a great all rounder and perfect for cooking quantities for a family.
I also have to say, very honestly, that I have been a customer of Kitchenware Direct for many years now and have never ever had a complaint. Their customer service is second to none, and their delivery is lightening fast. I am a very happy customer, and also super happy to be working with them through my blog.
AND … Thanks to the fantastic people at Kitchenware Direct, I have (1) one $80 voucher to give away so that you can buy something on your wishlist!! The voucher is valid for 12 months (not redeemable for cash) so you have plenty of time to use it!
Love Kitchenware Direct too, such good service and quick delivery – much easier than dragging a toddler around a kitchen shop! Think some new bakeware would be in order 🙂
I would <3 to buy a Zoku Quick Pop Maker for my boys for Christmas! They would have so much fun creating their own icy poles – it would help to keep them busy during the holidays lol!
Oh, I would love one of these Scanpan pans too! We are also trying to move away from non-stick pans. Or maybe a Le Creuset Dutch Oven… too many choices 🙂
I would love one of those Scanpan pans too. It’s been on my wishlist now for a very long time, but it’s one of those things that you just never buy for yourself!
At first I wondered why you were moving away from non-stick but now I see how much more flexible stainless steel is. I have never put a pot in the oven to keep warm but that is a great idea.
I’d love a plain cake stand – I asked for one last Christmas and a friend bought me a lovely, feminine, flowery one. It’s great, but not very suitable for displaying a birthday cake for my husband or one my sons.
I am in need of a new pan, particularly one I could also put in the oven so if I won, I would actually put my voucher towards getting a Scanpan Impact Chef’s Pan too.
I want to buy more cake decorating tools and another bowl fro my kitchen aid, a wonderful chance for me to get a lovely xmas present for my husband (a Joke)
I would like to get a saute pan with a lid, or perhaps a large pot with a lid for cooking pasta. 🙂

I would love to get another scanpan. Bought my first after seeing a cooking demonstration (and then dinner) with Gary Mehigan and I was so impressed. It takes my cooking to a new level.
I’m super keen to start moving away from non stick cookware! Some new stainless steel or cast iron pans would be amazing… I hate it when the non stick coating starts coming off and I wonder what’s going into my family’s food :S
I’m giving up on non-stick frypans too (have had scanpan and another expensive brand and they’re just not lasting). Going to get some cast iron action happening I think. Needs to be a biggie though, so I’m worried about weight. No rush, will look around in the new year when the sales are all on. Cheers!
I too have been more than happy with anything I’ve ever purchased from their site. What a great giveaway – I’d love to put this towards a new wok which I desperately need 🙂
Ooohhh so much to choose from!!! I should be saying a new dinnerware set like the basic white one from Maxwell & Williams and I do like the look of the Scanpan Impact Chef’s pan (like you I have a little stove top) but I have to say I’ve been wanting an Ecology White Cake Stand (30cm) for some time and the Christmas Tweets 3 Tier Cake stand would be sweet for Christmas treats!!!!!
I’d actually love that pan – I’ve been using a pan with a metal (not clear) lid and one huge handle that juts out all the time. This seems so much better!
I would love to buy anything and everything Scanpan. I am in desperate need of new cookware, in particular a great quality non-stick frypan. You should see the mess left in my Ikea frypan after use, it takes days of soaking and scrubbing to wash it!
I want the Scanpan Impact Chef’s Pan too, I’ve also got a stove with no room to move…and it’s a running joke in this household that my husband is always trying to cook us a meal in the smallest saucepans he can find 🙂
Bought a set of Global knives from Kitchenware Direct, and saved over $200 to the price at Myers.I’m now hoping to get some new cake tins. Dawn Taylor [email protected]
I would buy some more plain white plates, I was worried about not having enough chairs for Christmas, then luckily I counted my plates…2 people would have been eating out of bowels!!
After endless problems with non-stick types, I’m such a convert to the stainless steel saucepans. I bought a set of large pans a few months ago and love them to bits. I need to invest in a couple of small ones, though!
What I wouldn’t give for a Le Creuset Square Grill Pan (Griddle). Cooking fish, haloumi with perfect grill lines across it would be amazing! strkitten*yahoo.com.au

This is the start of a coffee machine for me!
