My kids absolutely love making Reindeer Food and it’s become a tradition in our home since Noah was three or four. It’s just a little something easy and fun that helps to bring a little magic to this special time of year. We leave a carrot out on Christmas Eve too, those reindeer need all the fuel they can get!!

I made these printables for Chloe’s kindy class a few years ago and it was so fun for the kids and their parents to come and make some reindeer food during our class party to take home.
We use these printables at home just for fun but they’re perfect for a entertaining the kids during a Christmas get-together, or as a class activity or for a playgroup gathering!

Making reindeer food is super easy, we just use rolled oats and coloured sugar, but you could use jelly crystals and edible glitter or even sprinkles and hundreds and thousands. There are no rules really, except to keep everything edible! No craft glitter and sequins, please! Just in case some curious little birds or other wild life get to the reindeer food before the reindeer do!

I colour some raw sugar with a drop of food colouring and just give it a really good mix to disperse the colour. You only use the teeniest amount, so the sugar shouldn’t dissolve.

You can get creative with your packaging, we often use little bags with a cute printable topper {available in my Etsy shop – there’s a cute polka dot version too} or a small glass jar also looks super cute! I’ve used little test tubes before as well and you can also fill those empty baubles with some as a cute way to gift some Reindeer food to friends and family!

If you set up a little Reindeer Food Station using these printables I would really love to see it!
