We normally don’t celebrate St. Patrick’s Day but this year I thought we’d have a bit of fun with it.
We are keeping it simple and not doing much – but I thought it would be fun to do a rainbow treasure hunt around the house. I just made this up for us to use, but in the end I thought I’d share it with you all as well – in case you find you’re after something easy to do on Saturday. It does have a clover on it, but really you could use this any time of year :o}
The printable is designed so that you can be quite creative with it or use it in a really simple way too. Have the kiddos find something that matches each colour of the rainbow in the house, whether it be random items around the house like a red apple, orange ball and blue teddy for example or coloured ‘treasures’ you leave around the house in a trail for them to find in the hope that they’ll find the ‘pot of gold’ at the end of the rainbow :o} Whatever that may be :o}

I thought it would be fun to listen to a little Irish music and learn a little about Ireland and use that as our country for Travel Night on saturday.
Here is the Irish National Anthem {on YouTube} if you’re interested in playing it for your kiddos. I never realised it is pretty long.
Next week will be all about Easter with a little Project Life and more Laundry stuff thrown in :o}
Hope you have a lovely weekend xx
Bianca, it’s spooky how often we’re in sync.
I was a Guide Leader for 10yrs and we used to play this game A LOT (but with colours from nature… doing the whole spiritual thing without picking a particular religion) and I played it yesterday afternoon in the park with my two girls!
We played it different version a few times last summer
it was funny….(always funny:)
thanks your sharing
