My super messy, super disorganised, can’t find anything mess of a craft cupboard. Well, craft and activity cupboard. I keep games and other things in here, too. Like our rolobox bits, flash cards and workbooks and bubbles!
With school holidays coming up we have more time for crafting and activities. I have some things planned and needed to see what we have, and what I need to get in order to have everything ready. Trouble was I couldn’t find anything without half the stuff falling out while I rummaged through. Time for a clean up!
I emptied each basket because although they were supposed to be organised … all the paint and brushes in one, all the markers and crayons in another, all the little things like buttons and beads, cotton wool balls and bits of wood together etc, it wasn’t like that at all.
This is the paint box, before – cotton balls in here, no paint brushes and I couldn’t quickly see what colours of paint I had.
After, all organised and easy to see what colours we have to make it easy for me to know if I need to buy a certain colour for a craft we are doing.
I also did things like sort beads into colours, accumulated all the millions of googly eyes I had strewn across almost every basket in that cupboard and sorting the pop sticks from the other shaped little pieces of wood.
And after :o} yay! MUCH better. It’s still not my ‘dream’ craft cupboard, but I didn’t want to buy any new storage solutions for the cupboard just yet as I am still deciding on the best way to store our craft supplies and until I’ve done that, I just wanted to use what we already had at home.
To help me {and hubby} find what we are looking for in the cupboard quickly I also made up some little blackboard tags to attach to the baskets. This is just blackboard paint on card stock, cut, hole punched and tied on with twine. Easy.
I used a white pen to write on the tags. And as my husband pointed out, I really could have just used plain black paint since I didn’t even use chalk on these tags. :o}![](https://i2.wp.com/alittledelightful.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/06/blackboard_sign.jpg?resize=640%2C480)

We keep everyday basics in this little craft turntable. It sits on a shelf and is easy for Noah to reach.
Do you have a craft cupboard? How do you keep it nice and neat?

Doesn’t it make you feel good when you have *sorted* 🙂
Me, i love the white boxes from Ikea.
Think i could build a wall with them – (lolll)
Everything has its own box – with a lid – then gets labelled.
Same as my Caking Room.
Everything in its white box – and labelled.

Wow what a transformation. Looks good, i have all my little caft pieces such as beads, little eyes etc in those clear craft boxes the ones like fishing tackle boxes?, but they are taking up to much room in my cupboard ( i have 2 exra large ones and 6 small ones)i think i may put them into clear plastic seal bags like you did. But what can i do with the craft holders? My cupboad is in need of a clean, but it will have to wait as mister 3 is a little to helpful! Well done bianca, would love to see more of before and after pics involving organising, it gives me ideas.
Thanks for sharing, Sarah.xx
Hi – it looks fantastic!
Can I ask where you got the craft turntable from? I have the buckets but no turntable!
Thanks, Amanda
Hi Maxine, thanks so much for popping by! I do really love the feeling of having things organised 🙂
Sarah, I used to keep my fun dress ups jewelry in a fishing tackle like box! 🙂
Amanda, the turntable and the buckets came together as a set. You can find them here http://www.bambinipronto.com.au/Product-red-craft-turntable-2065.aspx 🙂
Oh, we have a craft table, but it doesn’t look half as beautiful as yours does now. Love the tag idea. At the moment I need to purchase new boxes… i”m short of storage!
But now I’m totally inspired. Thank you Bianca!
