chloe’s 2nd birthday :: tea party for two

May 18th, 2012|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |30 Comments

A couple of weeks ago, my sweet little girl turned T-W-O. I can’t quite believe how fast we’ve arrived at this age. It really doesn’t seem that long ago that she was this dark haired teeny baby. And now her hair has gone so light and she’s walking around and talking, hiding, making mess, being cranky, laughing hysterically, helping me bake, helping me ‘clean’, having tea parties, giving the best hugs, playing with puzzles and torturing her big brother. We decided to just go with a small family birthday for Chloe. And since we only have […]

February 20th, 2012|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , , |12 Comments

Recently my sweet boy turned the big F.I.V.E. I can honestly say I don’t know how we got here so quickly. And he must be so used to me saying that it has flown by, because on the morning of his birthday he said to me “It was like I was just born yesterday Mummy and now I am five!” Haha.Happy Birthday Noah! You are such a gorgeous boy, inside and out. I am proud of you and proud to be your Mama. You have taught me so much, and I love you to […]

May 17th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |19 Comments

Thank you so very much for all the lovely comments everyone. It was certainly fun to put this together and I really enjoyed it.Here’s a little more about our Pink Polka Dot Party! We served pink lemonade, iced water and strawberry milk in carafes. I wish I could take credit for the macarons but I didn’t get past reading the recipe in my book and figuring out that I don’t have a thermometer or 3 day old egg whites! The gorgeous macarons are from For Goodness Cakes and they were delicious. Not one was left […]

Chloe’s 1st Birthday – Polka Dot Party – Part 1

May 16th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |11 Comments

For our little girl’s first birthday we decided on an oh so cute polka dot theme. Pink, of course!I hung a gorgeous polka dot garland on the wall above the table and carried the pink + white polka dot theme throughout. The dessert table featured cupcakes with whipped buttercream frosting, vanilla whoopie pies with lemon cream cheese filling, iced sugar cookies, cream + pink vanilla macarons, oreo pops dipped in white chocolate, a mini candy bar and polka dot cookie take + bake jars for our guests to bring home.Mini glass milk bottles with pink […]

I absolutely love baking, and had wanted to make mini cupcakes for Noah to bring in to his class for his birthday last month, but I found myself just way too busy so went looking for an easier alternative. So I made up these little decorated lolly bag favours for him to give his classmates. These were really so easy. Just print and cut and stick on. Even easier if you use sticker paper, which is what I did here. Talk about quick! And don’t they look cute?!These labels are available in my store for you […]

Part 3 of Noah’s 4th Birthday – Adventure Is Out There – an “Up” inspired party

February 19th, 2011|Categories: crafts|Tags: , , , |2 Comments

I thought this wooden cutlery was just the perfect touch for our Adventure is Out There Dessert table as it so beautifully matched the look and feel of the theme.Tied with some lovely blue and white twine and it is just oh so cute.I used plain kraft paper bags for the take home goodies. Inside were a pair of binoculars for each child and playdough. I had 2 other items to place in here, a bouncy ball and an airplane shaped pencil sharpener but when you’re silly like me and don’t count how many […]

Part 2 of Noah’s 4th Birthday – Adventure Is Out There – an “Up” inspired party

February 17th, 2011|Categories: crafts|Tags: , , |3 Comments

In keeping with the Disney / Pixar “Up” movie, and wanting to incorporate balloons without them taking over the Adventure is Out There theme, we added a large bunch to his outdoor cubby house to look like the house and balloons from the movie. I actually think we could have doubled the balloons but I wasn’t sure how many we would need to achieve the look and under-ordered, seems 15 wasn’t enough! :)But he didn’t mind – and anyway, who doesn’t love a big bunch of balloons! We also had a small bunch sticking out […]

Part 1 of Noah’s 4th Birthday – Adventure Is Out There – an “Up” inspired party

My little guy turned 4 last week. It has been a blur, these last 4 years. I can hardly believe it! They have been the best years of my life. Being a parent is the most beautiful blessing and I am truly honoured to be the mother of this little boy.Noah loves the Disney / Pixar move “Up” and for his 4th birthday I wanted to incorporate the movie into the theme. We decided to go with the catch phrase from the movie “Adventure is out there!”.I designed the invitations, cupcake toppers, bunting and […]

Halloween Buffet Table

November 3rd, 2010|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |5 Comments

It’s taken me a while to get back here to post photos of our Halloween Buffet Table. We had about 15 kids here {kids from my son’s Kindy class and some of their siblings + my 2 stepkiddos} for Halloween. All the little kiddies were 4 and under! For most of them this was their first taste of Halloween fun! I think some parents were a little apprehensive, thinking it would be all scary and gory. Most didn’t know that you can dress your child in anything! It doesn’t have to be scary, a witch, vampire […]
