I have had a few emails from people asking to see a little more of my little girl’s room after having put a couple of snippets up on the blog.So here I thought I’d share with you her very pink bedroom!A 4×2 expedit. Love these Ikea pieces and have them all over the house. Her dresser, right next to her change table {which is under the butterflies}This is a tree from Bed Bath n Table. It came with a stand but we decided to hang it on the wall. The small chair is also from Ikea. […]

Just thought I’d share our Christmas treesA little one in our family roomOur main tree all lit upMy beautiful boy, who has inherited all my Christmas spirit plus some, had to have his own little tree in his room last year, and so of course this year we brought it out for him to decorate again.BUT this year I bought $5 battery operated multicoloured lights from Big W especially for his little tree so it could look like “the fancy ones” he sees elsewhere. Please excuse the bad photo, you get the best effect when […]

christmas decorating

I love to decorate my house at Christmastime, and it’s nice when there is something Christmassy everywhere I look. Here are a few of the little areas that have been decorated:This year I thought adding garlands to the kids’ doors would be a nice touch. Our hallway is especially bare and quite long and I’ve enjoyed this addition to our home decorating. The pink one is from Myer and the little mini red stockings are a fabulous find for under $4 from Big W.Our Advent Calendar is up!The totally cute candy jar I found at Spotlight […]

daily messages

December 6th, 2010|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , |0 Comments

I’m sharing my new favourite Christmas purchase with you. I found this little gem over the weekend. This little chalkboard tree is just delightful and I am loving writing a new message on it daily for my family to read. So much so that after Christmas is over I’ll be finding an everyday chalk board to take it’s place so I can leave little messages all year long.Today’s little message is ‘appreciate what you have’ which is a great lesson and reminder for not just the kids but my husband and I too. It is […]

decorating + crafts + baking = beautiful parties

September 1st, 2010|Categories: crafts|Tags: , |1 Comment

Decorating + crafts + baking are my favourite things and themed parties and beautiful dessert tables are on my mind.{image from Imprintables}{image from Polkadot Prints}As I find + develop my mumma style when it comes to parties and occasions {and everyday life, really!} I seem to lean towards the same mumma style my own mother exuded through my childhood. She was always an excellent and creative hostess and as kids we absolutely loved our birthday parties, Halloween parties, Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners and our Ausralia Day BBQ’s. {I come from a multi-national household so […]

easy ‘vintage’ bassinet sheets

August 11th, 2010|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , |1 Comment

My little girl is 3 months old now and is still in her bassinet. I love that she is sleeping on sheets that not only remind me of my childhood, they are from my childhood. I call them ‘vintage’ as they are 25+ years old. Thankfully my Mum kept them even after I had moved out of home. :o}Her bassinet mattress fits well inside my old pillowcases – no cutting or sewing involved {which is good since I am hopeless at sewing!}.I am hoping to use the flat sheets and doona covers as sheets […]

I wasn’t very organised this time around. I left quite a few things to the very last minute, and haven’t even washed all the clothes, blankets, sheets, bibs…I am happy though that I was organised enough to buy this most beautiful butterfly mobile from TigerTribe. It is perfect and whimsical and just what I was looking for.x
