a little baby nook

August 11th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , , |8 Comments

Well I can’t quite believe we have reached 39 weeks and I am only now just posting about baby’s little nursery nook in our bedroom! This has been almost finished for quite a while, it was one of the first things we organised for our soon to be born baby as I thought it would help make it feel ‘real’ that we were in actual fact having a baby!It had been waiting for the final, finishing touch, which was a home made cloud mobile to hang above. The cloud itself is a little pillow. I was […]

quiet thoughts and thanks

July 11th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |12 Comments

It’s been a bit quiet around here lately. Thank you so much for the messages and emails from some of you checking up on me! No, baby hasn’t  joined us yet {and hopefully won’t for at least another 4 weeks}, I’ve just been so exhausted and honestly not really coping on 2 hours sleep a night. I suppose it also doesn’t help that I’ve been in super nesty mode too – with a huge huge to do list. But with not a lot of energy available to blitz through it all I get a bit {a […]

Louise is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu cooking school and also has qualifications in nutrition from Deakin University. She is also the granddaughter or Margaret Fulton, who is very well known in Australia for her knowledge in all things cooking for our families. This new book is designed for use with the Thermomix. {She has also published a version for those who do not have a […]

half way there

April 8th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |26 Comments

Last week I reached the half way mark in this pregnancy. I still have days where I can’t believe we’re having another baby, so I’m definitely finding it difficult to comprehend that we’re already half way to holding a gorgeous new bundle of joy. I am thankful that my energy has slowly been coming back. I probably over do it on the days I wake up with more energetic because I spend the next two being exhausted all over again, but I just can’t waste those days where I’m focused and motivated and actually feel like […]

life lately

March 11th, 2013|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , |48 Comments

It’s been really quiet around here lately. We have been enjoying a change of pace. A little slower, a little more relaxed, a little more all over the place. Unusual for me, a planner and scheduler my nature. Our home has been it’s usual noisy self, filled with fun and laughs, love filled moments, laundry baskets overflowing, sandy floors, birthday cakes, movie nights, neglected shower screens and piles of paperwork. We’ve been trying to settle into a new routine now that school is back. Some days we have it down pat, and others are a bit of […]

Chloe’s 1st Birthday – Polka Dot Party – Part 2

May 17th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |19 Comments

Thank you so very much for all the lovely comments everyone. It was certainly fun to put this together and I really enjoyed it.Here’s a little more about our Pink Polka Dot Party! We served pink lemonade, iced water and strawberry milk in carafes. I wish I could take credit for the macarons but I didn’t get past reading the recipe in my book and figuring out that I don’t have a thermometer or 3 day old egg whites! The gorgeous macarons are from For Goodness Cakes and they were delicious. Not one was left […]

Chloe’s 1st Birthday – Polka Dot Party – Part 1

May 16th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |11 Comments

For our little girl’s first birthday we decided on an oh so cute polka dot theme. Pink, of course!I hung a gorgeous polka dot garland on the wall above the table and carried the pink + white polka dot theme throughout. The dessert table featured cupcakes with whipped buttercream frosting, vanilla whoopie pies with lemon cream cheese filling, iced sugar cookies, cream + pink vanilla macarons, oreo pops dipped in white chocolate, a mini candy bar and polka dot cookie take + bake jars for our guests to bring home.Mini glass milk bottles with pink […]

Chloe’s 1st Birthday – Cake Smash

May 15th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |7 Comments

You may have noticed I’ve gone completely pink on the blog! It’s because that is all I have been looking at for a couple of weeks, pink pink pink and more pink.I decided to go for a pink polka dot theme for our baby girl’s first birthday party. I figure I only have so many years that I can really use pink for everything so I will milk it as much as possible. Little Chloe is a tom boy I’m sure, so when she is old enough to have a say I doubt very […]

mess!!

March 15th, 2011|Categories: A Little Delightful|Tags: , , |1 Comment

Does your home look like this at baby meal time?I cannot believe how much mess our little girl makes when she feeds herself {which of course is the ‘in’ thing at the moment}.I think our little guy was mess-a-phobic compared to this one. He made mess but didn’t like it and almost couldn’t wait for his hands and face to be cleaned. She relishes in it, throws food around, smooshes it, squishes it into her hair and even seeks food to throw/smoosh/squish when her tray is empty. This is {was} cauliflower and spinach pasta and […]
