Well it finally feels like autmun here in Perth – I know! It’s nearly winter now, but the trees around us have only just started to change colours and show off their gorgeous reds and oranges and yellows in the last two weeks. {craft} autumn leaf contact paper placemats

We have been having fun with the beautiful autumn leaves my kiddos have been collecting.Every time we see some they each bring some home and add them to our leaf collection box.To make the place mats, I got some contact paper and cut out a large rectangle. I peeled the backing off of half and taped it down to the table to make it easier to stick the leaves etc onto the contact paper.I just let the kids enjoy sticking leaves on for a while. Well, apparently it’s autumn. But it certainly doesn’t feel like it now that we’re back in Perth. We have had a few days of 30 degree weather still though the last few days have been drizzly and a little cooler.It did feel like autumn in Sydney though!
