{giveaway} :: dear little mailbox

December 9th, 2014|A Little Delightful|59 Comments

Holly, a mum of 2 beautiful girls, wanted to inspire children to imagine, create, learn and love and that is exactly what she does through her absolutely gorgeous goodies from Dear Little Designs. Her gorgeous little mailboxes and letter boxes inspire children to write to friends, family, Santa or little fairy friends. And the new Dear Little Diary and Treasure Box sets give children a little safe place of their own for keeping special trinkets and memories.
There is nothing better than encouraging imagination, and I think these cute little Mailboxes could help us create a little bit of […]

{christmas} december :: week one

December 8th, 2014|A Little Delightful|7 Comments

It’s no secret that I LOVE Christmas, and for us, it’s a whole month of Christmas fun. Many of you have been asking me about what we’ve been up to, so I thought I’d share a weekly recap!
What a week! I can’t believe the first week of December has been and gone already! It was a super crazy busy one for us, with Nativity plays and Christmas parties, a couple of appointments, assemblies at school, birthday parties and a fun morning at the movies.
Our cute little elf Peppermint was pretty easy going for his […]

Give Good this Christmas with UNICEF Inspired Gifts

December 3rd, 2014|A Little Delightful|11 Comments

This post is brought to you in collaboration with UNICEF

Growing up in Asia opened my eyes to a world that seems so far away from life here in Australia. On our daily drive to school it was not unusual to see people begging in the streets, or to see children selling what ever they could to earn a little money for some food. For many families, schooling and health care are financially out of reach and so their children never get the opportunity to better their life through education and families would suffer immensely without the […]

Alrighty everyone, I am super excited by this! Every year, our Elf Peppermint arrives with a letter on “Official Elf Mail” stationery which I do up in photoshop and print. You can read about our Elf and how we ‘Elf on the Shelf’ here and here.
Every year I am asked if I can make and sell letters to those of you who want to have your elf friend bring a custom letter to your kids, too. The truth is I hardly have time to breathe some nights let alone make Elf letters for you […]

November 6th, 2014|A Little Delightful|77 Comments

This post is brought to you by LEGO Juniors.

It’s no secret that we are big LEGO lovers in this house. I have posted here about our LEGO storage and LEGO sets are definitely high on my kids birthday or Christmas wish lists so I was absolutely thrilled to try out something from the new LEGO Juniors range.
I’ll be honest and tell you that when I first saw the LEGO Juniors sets in the stores I thought they were a different sized brick to the classic LEGO and LEGO DUPLO, but after taking a closer look […]

lemonade playdough

October 22nd, 2014|crafts|2 Comments

We have been enjoying the spring weather! Though I do wish it would make up it’s mind! We have had a hot 36 degree day, followed by a cooler 26 degree day, followed by a couple of days of rain. Never the less, Spring is the perfect time to let nature inspire our playtime and we really enjoyed making our Spring paper plate sun catchers the other day! Continuing on with our little spring time theme, we made this lemon scented playdough which was a real treat for the senses!
I used my favourite cooked playdough […]

spring time paper plate sun catchers

October 13th, 2014|crafts|0 Comments

These are gorgeous and super easy, and fun to make, too!
The kids and I went out to collect some pretty spring time flowers and leaves to make some paper plate sun catchers to hang from the window.

We found a beautiful range of colours and textures and sizes on our little flower and leaf hunt! Just perfect for creating a colourful masterpiece.

What you need:
Paper plates
Clear contact paper
Flowers and leaves
Scissors
Ribbon
Hole punch
Cut the middle out of your paper plates. I found the easiest way to do this is to poke a hole and then pop the scissors […]
