You may have noticed I’ve gone completely pink on the blog! It’s because that is all I have been looking at for a couple of weeks, pink pink pink and more pink.
I decided to go for a pink polka dot theme for our baby girl’s first birthday party. I figure I only have so many years that I can really use pink for everything so I will milk it as much as possible. Little Chloe is a tom boy I’m sure, so when she is old enough to have a say I doubt very much that I will be allowed to use pink!
So, what did we do with those whoopie pies?
Well, a cake smash for the birthday girl, of course!
and just one more for good measure. This one is one of my favourites and it deserves it’s very own frame in our house I think!…
… there is something about having the whole process caught on camera. From start to finish, and all the smiley fun moments in between.
I can hardly believe that we are here celebrating her first birthday. It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was home that first weekend, still in awe and unbelieving that we’d made another miracle and that she was here, in our home, with us. I can hardly believe that I felt so worried about being able to love her as much as I did her big brother. Time really flies when you’re having fun and raising these kiddos is all that I dreamed of and more.
Happy Birthday to our sweet little girl. Not a day goes by that I am not thankful that you are part of my life, and that I have the honour of being your mama. You light up our life.
a little delightful
