We have been enjoying the spring weather! Though I do wish it would make up it’s mind! We have had a hot 36 degree day, followed by a cooler 26 degree day, followed by a couple of days of rain. Never the less, Spring is the perfect time to let nature inspire our playtime and we really enjoyed making our Spring paper plate sun catchers the other day! Continuing on with our little spring time theme, we made this lemon scented playdough which was a real treat for the senses!

spring time paper plate sun catchers

These are gorgeous and super easy, and fun to make, too!
The kids and I went out to collect some pretty spring time flowers and leaves to make some paper plate sun catchers to hang from the window. 

We found a beautiful range of colours and textures and sizes on our little flower and leaf hunt! Just perfect for creating a colourful masterpiece.
 
What you need:
Paper plates
Clear contact paper
Flowers and leaves
Scissors
Ribbon
Hole punch

grass seed egg plantings

One of our Spring activities recently has been these ever so cute egg plantings. These would also be fantastic as an Easter activity!I saw this idea here where they used egg cartons filled with soil to grow grass seeds. As I wanted this to be an indoor thing I really didn’t want to use any dirt so used cotton balls instead. We had been collecting egg shells which thankfully doesn’t take too long around here when you bake a lot and your husband likes poached eggs for breakfast.
