Last week I reached the half way mark in this pregnancy.

I still have days where I can’t believe we’re having another baby, so I’m definitely finding it difficult to comprehend that we’re already half way to holding a gorgeous new bundle of joy.

I am thankful that my energy has slowly been coming back. I probably over do it on the days I wake up with more energetic because I spend the next two being exhausted all over again, but I just can’t waste those days where I’m focused and motivated and actually feel like getting things done. I love that nesting motivation and so far I’ve only had a few snippets. I can’t wait until we’re in full on nesting mode, my house needs a bit of love and attention!

I have been trying to be good at documenting this pregnancy. I have always taken weekly belly shots when pregnant with Noah and Chloe but found it quite hard to accumulate them in the right order and use them in their baby albums, so this time around I thought I would take advantage of my over use of Instagram and the awesome photo shake app I love to make collages for me (you can see more info in an older blog post here) and at least make it easy for myself. I have also been using the Over app to add the text. Not the best or most beautiful belly shots ever, but at least it’s something :o}

It has been amazing being pregnant 3rd time around. Noah is the most gorgeous big-big brother to be. He kisses the belly good morning, good bye at school drop off and good night at bed time. He loves trying to feel kicks, asks lots of questions and even suggested that I eat some clothes so the baby wouldn’t have to be born naked and cold. (yes, I laughed a lot at his gorgeous 6 year old logic! But most of all I am so enamoured by his thoughtfulness!)

Chloe is excited about being a big sister too. She likes to tell me how she will help bathe baby, get nappies and blankets and pyjamas for baby. And get a plate out for baby when it’s time to eat (she also thinks it’s not fair that baby won’t need to eat food for quite a while!)
She likes to pretend that she feels the kicks by quickly removing her hand and saying “the baby kicked my hand off!”

It has been such a beautiful and amazing experience watching our children take it all in and get excited about the little baby who will be joining our everydays. I am so thankful and feel very blessed to have been given this opportunity again.

and …

I am so excited to be a mama to another beautiful boy!

We found out a few weeks ago and like we did when pregnant with Chloe, asked for the gender to be written on a piece of paper for us to take home so we could all find out together.
Both times we have found out we have done it this way, and I just love the more private and intimate moment it allows.
Just our little family, learning about our newest little family member together.
