My least favourite job in the kitchen is cleaning the oven. I really don’t like it but I vowed that when we moved into this house 3 years ago I would keep on top of the oven as it was brand new and it would never become a chore. Truth is, that even though I did clean it after every use, it was certainly a chore! My sponge just wouldn’t cut it, all those splatter and grease marks, and baked on bits! But I refused to use those chemicals that tell you to wear a mask and gloves when you clean with them.

And so slowly but surely, my oven got to the point of being ‘too hard’ to clean until sparkling brand new. I’d leave it much longer in between proper full cleans and then find my job even harder. Please tell me I’m not the only one? Don’t get me wrong – it was never gross or super dirty – but it certainly wasn’t the kind of ‘clean’ I like, or had hoped to keep up with my oven!

This is where ENJO came in. I was sent pack of ENJO goodies to try out on my oven to get it back to sparkling. I couldn’t believe I was actually excited to give them a go after watching the video tutorial – could it really be that easy?

I followed the instructions, which was to leave a pan of boiled water in the oven for half an hour, then leaving the oven to cool before cleaning with the ENJO kitchen glove. They do remind you that if the grime has been baked on in layers, it will need to come off in layers and so to repeat this step another time or so. I did have to do this, but I was surprised that I hardly felt like I was ‘cleaning’ – no hard scrubbing as you only need to use light pressure with your ENJO glove. And no having to send everyone outside because of awful chemical fumes. No need for masks or rubber gloves to protect me! Win!

For stubborn spots on the bottom of the oven and sides, I couldn’t believe how awesome the kitchen mini plus with its awesome bristles and marble paste were at getting them off. There were seriously a lot of those splatter grease marks from baking fish, cooking roasts, making grilled cheese, and I was so impressed after my first go with ENJO at how much it had gotten off.

My oven racks were also not looking great. At all. I followed the tutorial video which showed me how to soak the oven racks overnight. Then after all that icky grime had softened, I used the kitchen mini plus and some marble paste and they are like brand new. Seriously happy.

I did feel the oven needed another good go. As I had said, I left it pretty long in between cleans because it was just such an annoying and tedious job that involved a lot of elbow grease. A couple of weeks later I again popped a pan of boiling water in the oven to steam it all and used my kitchen glove, kitchen mini and marble paste and that is just what my oven needed – the second clean has got it sparkling like new again inside and I am so so pleased!

And seriously, maintaining this level of clean has been super easy with the kitchen glove and just water and the absolutely awesome kitchen miracle since that second clean. But at least I know that if it’s gets a bit gross in there again that I have the tools to blast through it easily and chemical free!

And whats more is that the ENJO kitchen glove and miracle are fantastic for keeping the kitchen bench and stove top sparkling too. This I love, but honestly the biggest seller for me is being able to clean that oven without harmful chemicals.

The wonderful people at ENJO have also offered a fantastic Kitchen Care package for me to giveaway
