Life has been pretty busy lately, getting settled into a new routine with Noah at full time school, planning his birthday party and me trying to catch up on a few things before the semester at uni starts back up. And so our crafts and activities have been a little on the easy and quick side. Nothing wrong with that! We are loving the results :o}
First up we made some Valentine’s lanterns. I had some left over lanterns that I didn’t end up using for Chloe’s Polka Dot Party last year so we decorated them with heart shaped foam stickers {$2 from the Reject Shop}
and hung them up in a corner of our house.
Easy. Cheap. Cute!

We also made some Valentine’s place mats. Now, ideally they would be A3 size, but I didn’t have any A3 sized laminating pouches so A4 it was!
We just cut / punched heart shapes out of different coloured tissue paper. We also used a couple of doilies left over from our Valentine’s garland :o}
And placed them all around on one side of the laminating pouch and popped it through the laminator.
Easy trick is to use a piece of cardstock and run that through the laminator underneath your placemat – otherwise your placemat could get caught {seeing as it will be so thin and flimsy with so little paper}
See! Also easy and quick. These would look cute hung up on the fridge or a window too.
