Recently a friend and I had a craft day for our kiddos – like a play date, but full of crafting fun!

It was a rainy day and so I thought it would be fun for the kids to make a rain cloud with some cotton wool and rice that I had dyed blue.

You can dye rice using the same method as the pasta method I shared earlier. It dries a lot faster. I just emptied the bag out onto a plate lined with paper towel and the rice was dry in no time.

And then we made some of these paper bowl jellyfish! They’re so cute and pretty easy.jellyfish

Let the kids go to town with painting an upside down paper bowl and then when dry, attach some googly eyes. Punch a hole in the middle of the top of the bowl.

Punch a hole in the top of another upside down paper bowl, and then glue an assortment of ribbons all around, then add a nice big dollop of glue to the very top and pop the painted upside down bowl on top to help secure the ribbons in place. Allow to dry, then thread a ribbon through the holes in the top and hang to display your super cute jellyfish!

We also made these cute suns using a paper plate painted sunny yellow and folded in half and secured with painted wooden pegs as the suns rays. A couple of googly eyes and a smile and you have a pretty happy sunshine.

We added some rainbow coloured paper strips to the bottom for some extra cuteness. They’re such a lovely addition to our playroom!
Too cute!!
